- ➤ The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center has issued an alert due to dangerous avalanche conditions in the southern Madison and Gallatin ranges and mountains (Cooke City, Island Park, and the Lionhead area) today. Residents are advised to exercise caution. MontanaRightNow
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Montana Department of Livestock said an animal in a Gallatin County herd tested positive for brucellosis and the herd is now in quarantine. An investigation into past animal movements is underway to prevent any further spread. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ CDC data reported Dec. 20 shows over 7.5 million flu cases and rising hospitalizations as the season worsens, so Bozeman health officials urge people aged 6 months and older to get vaccinated in light of the fast-spreading H3N2 strain. KBZK
