- ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are asking for tips on a vandalized pictograph at Missouri Headwaters State Park in Three Forks on Friday, Dec. 26, as initial assessments show that paintbrush marks may have also damaged nearby indigenous cultural art. Bozeman Magazine

- ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife + Parks extended the white-tailed deer hunting season near Bozeman through Feb. 15 after 14 chronic wasting disease cases were detected in the region; hunters can use designated licenses and submit samples at the Bozeman office to help slow the disease spread. - ➤ On Friday, Dec. 26, FWP staff confirmed a subadult grizzly bear sighting in the Bangtail Range east of Bozeman as a trail camera captured the animal on National Forest land. It is the first documented case in the Bangtails — reminding residents to stay alert in bear country. Bozeman Magazine
