- ➤ Fork & Spoon will serve a special Christmas dinner featuring Beef Wellington, ham and cod, soups, salads, hot sides and desserts on Christmas Day and will offer soups on Christmas Eve from 4 to 6 p.m. The event, organized by HRDC, brings the community together for a meaningful holiday meal. - ➤ Big Sky Resort celebrated the grand opening of its Explorer Gondola and Kircliff Monday, Dec. 22, finishing Big Sky 2025. The new lift system, featuring 83 heated-cabin gondolas and a glass alpine observatory at 11,166 feet, links valley and summit plus offers panoramic views across three states. Bozeman Magazine
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Heavy snowfall over the past two weeks has led to an avalanche warning for the mountains near Cooke City, Island Park (and West Yellowstone) where recreationalists are advised to steer clear of steep slopes and avalanche runout zones. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ FWP wrapped up its record CWD sampling season Monday, Dec. 22, collecting 8,372 samples statewide with high hunter participation+428 samples returned positive results. The agency will continue processing final submissions to track deer, elk and moose health. Bozeman Magazine
