- ➤ A Montana State economist published research last month showing that federal funds used to restore wetlands reduce water purification costs for communities. Nicole Karwowski’s study reveals that improved water quality can lower expenses by up to $17,000 annually, boosting local economies & protecting natural resources. Bozeman Magazine
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ MSU has launched a free airport shuttle service for students and community members. The bus carries 36 passengers and will run four times daily from near the Strand Union building (pick-up times are 7-9 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.) along Streamline’s Pink Line until Dec. 15. KBZK

- ➤ The Montana Army National Guard commissioned two new officers from MSU's Army ROTC program on Thursday in the Hager Auditorium (Museum of the Rockies). Both officers begin their careers as global and domestic demands on the Guard grow. KBZK
- ➤ Governor Gianforte donated a quarter of his salary to ZoeCare, a nonprofit pregnancy support clinic in Bozeman, as the ninth day of his 12 Days of Giving initiative on Thursday. He toured the clinic to meet staff as the donation supported free pregnancy and parenting services. MontanaRightNow
