🏛️ Government
Montana State University has been named a Defense Innovation Unit on-ramp hub by the U.S. Department of Defense (a nod to its strong research background).
This designation (expected to attract millions in federal funds) will allow MSU researchers and private companies to work together on new defense technology.
🏥 Health
Cedar Creek Integrated Health in Bozeman will close on December 1st, leaving about 1,000 addiction treatment clients without care and forcing layoffs of seven of its 23 employees.
Clients received referral packets that include Rimrock — which will open a new intensive outpatient center in Bozeman this December — to help them find new services.
🏈 Sports
No. 2 Montana Grizzlies (11 to 0) and No. 3 Montana State will meet at Washington-Grizzly Stadium on Saturday at noon for the Big Sky Conference championship.
The Grizzlies have built an undefeated season with key wins over North Dakota and Idaho State (decisive victories) and now will seek home-field advantage.
