  • Operation Holiday is asking Bozeman residents to volunteer or register a child for Christmas gift donations by December 1 at 5 p.m.—the Montana branch of this national organization has served over 1,000 children in the Gallatin Valley since 2020 and relies on community support.  MontanaRightNow

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Bozeman Schools Foundation will host its 11th Annual Santa Run for Education on December 6—sponsored by Stockman Bank and offering over $4,000 in prizes for schools, teams and runners. The festive 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Babcock and 5th Avenue and supports school programs such as literacy and student well-being.  Bozeman Magazine

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has opened submissions for the 2026 Montana Migratory Bird Stamp contest, asking for artwork that shows waterbird species in their natural habitat and Montana scenes. Submissions are accepted through Feb. 27 (the Wetlands Protection Advisory Council will select the winner in March) and the winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize (with promotional features planned for 2026).  Bozeman Magazine

SPORTS NEWS

  • MSU athletic director Leon Costello said the school plans to expand Bobcat Stadium by adding new seats, premium options, and field-level suites to boost capacity from 22,000 to 25,000—though no timeline or final design has been set yet.  KBZK
