- ➤ The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services is starting its plan to apply for federal rural health funding that may bring up to $500 million over five years to help local providers improve care, and it will hold a public webinar on Oct 2 from 3 to 5 p.m.—officials are gathering input from community members to shape the proposal. This one-time funding opportunity comes after Congress set aside $50 billion to support rural hospitals. KBZK
