Grant Street—closed since 2019 after gym collapses from heavy snow—is now being replaced by a $6.5 million pedestrian corridor on campus that features art, wildflowers, and seating.

Students say the new walkway unifies campus and gives more room for activities while final projects continue.

Construction on the VIM hotel at MSU began in Bozeman and is set to complete by 2027—students from MSU and Gallatin College will gain hands-on training while Marriott Hotels manages the property in partnership with Lone Mountain Land Company.

Bozeman Chamber of Commerce officials said the project will boost the local economy by preparing a skilled workforce for the growing tourism industry.
