EDUCATION NEWS

  • Montana State University reported a record enrollment for the fall semester with 17,165 students, surpassing last fall's total of 17,144.  MontanaRightNow
  • Montana State University is hosting its Fall Career Fair at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2—connecting students and alumni with over 250 employers, including local, regional, and national companies. The event includes a networking reception on Sept. 30, a career fair day on Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and formal interviews on Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  KBZK

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks freed a bull moose tangled in a hammock east of Bozeman. Wildlife officials darted and immobilized the animal—removed debris from its antlers and released it safely—while noting similar challenges faced by wildlife with household items.  KBZK

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Commission members Molnar and Fielder met in a Helena courtroom Tuesday morning to address a complaint that may lead to Molnar's suspension over alleged workplace misconduct. District Judge Menahan granted a temporary restraining order—preventing Gov. Gianforte from suspending him until both sides file written briefs for a ruling expected in mid-October.  KBZK
