COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Residents from King Arthur Park and Mountain Meadows Estates held a press conference at Gallatin County Courthouse on Monday to form tenant unions and plan to buy their land to avoid rent hikes and displacement — several local officials, including Deputy Mayor Joey Morrison and Sen. Cora Neumann, voiced their support. They said they will continue working with Oakland Companies to secure a fair deal if their bid is not accepted.  KBZK

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters contained a wildfire on Nash Road near Bozeman on Aug 26 that burned two acres of grass and brush and threatened homes—no structures were damaged while one landowner was treated for smoke inhalation.  KBZK

CRIME NEWS

  • A 19-year-old MSU student was arrested on felony sexual intercourse without consent and felony aggravated assault charges after an incident at a Bozeman residence on August 23 when police said the suspect drove a woman home from an off-campus party and assaulted her after she repeatedly said stop — authorities obtained a search warrant and arrested him on August 26.  KBZK
  • On August 18, 2025, Bozeman police recovered a stolen vehicle containing items believed to have been taken—officials said in a release.  MontanaRightNow
  • A stolen vehicle chase through downtown Bozeman ended yesterday in a crash at the intersection of Main Street and 11th Avenue — officers assisting the Montana Highway Patrol near Bozeman High School detained the suspect after he fled on foot, and no injuries were reported.  KBZK

  • Governor Gianforte and First Lady Gianforte celebrated the second anniversary of Montana’s Imagination Library expansion in Bozeman—27,500 children now receive free monthly books.
