  • The Salvation Army in Bozeman is hosting its Tools for School event to help 300 low-income kids get the school supplies they need—red bins at local churches, banks, and the library are collecting donations for backpacks, pencils, and notebooks.  KBZK

  • BagelWorks has served handmade, New York-style bagels in Bozeman since 1991 and remains a local favorite for nearly 35 years—owner Amy Points said the shop is launching a new weekly menu item, selling bagels wholesale, and hiring local students to keep its community spirit alive.  Bozeman Magazine

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Sweet Pea Festival is set to launch in Bozeman with new features such as the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile at the public library and a special hazy IPA from Bridger Brewing—official preparations continue at Lindley Park with an expected turnout of 13,000 to 15,000 attendees and a planned profit donation to arts nonprofits.  KBZK
  • The Living History Farm is located just south of the Museum of the Rockies and offers a look into 19th century Montana life through a restored 1889 farmhouse and live demonstrations—interpreters show traditional farming and household tasks while workshops let visitors try skills like wool spinning and seed box crafting.   • A reporter has listed the five most popular museums in Bozeman to help locals and tourists learn about the city’s history through displays from dinosaur fossils to local art. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Gallatin College is launching a new one-year hospitality certificate program on August 20 to help fill the growing worker shortage in Montana’s tourism industry—driven by increasing visitor numbers. The program received $1 million in funding from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and will provide hands-on training with over 80 local partners—such as Montana Ale Works and Mountain Sky Guest Ranch.  KBZK

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks today reminded landowners to install electric fencing to reduce human-bear conflicts, using an example where a fence was added at a generator shed near Choteau and Augusta. The project—designed to stop bears from becoming used to human structures—aims to prevent property damage and improve safety.  KBZK

  • A new list ranks the top ten happy hour spots in Bozeman for 2025, featuring winners like Brigade, Bourbon and Bridger Brewing that offer local drink specials and unique menus.   • At mid-year, Bozeman's real estate market showed mixed trends as 627 single-family homes were listed and 304 were sold while pending sales rose to 102.
