- ➤ Montana schools are revisiting cell phone policies for the 2025-2026 school year after Governor Greg Gianforte's letter called for fewer distractions in classrooms. Hamilton High now requires phones and smart watches to be kept in caddies while Belgrade School District will meet in July to refine its rules—aiming to balance classroom focus and communication with parents. - ➤ Construction on South 19th Ave in Bozeman started Monday as part of a $1 million paving project that is causing traffic problems and driver complaints. City engineer Nick Ross said the project—set to finish in 30 days due to noise rules and the North 19th work—has led drivers to take alternative routes including the county justice center’s 16th Ave entrance.
