  • Gallatin County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team will conduct a large-scale operation in Bear Canyon and New World Gulch this weekend—June 28 and 29—as they search for David Butzin, reported missing on November 10, and they ask locals to avoid the areas and call 406-582-2100 with any sightings.  MontanaRightNow

  • The Gallatin County Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, July 1 at 9 a.m. to discuss a draft camping rule that would ban camping on public property in unincorporated areas and impose fines up to $500 or jail for ten days—residents can share comments in person or by Zoom before a final vote on July 15.  MontanaRightNow
  • The Gallatin County Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 1 at 9 a.m. at the third-floor Community Room of the Gallatin County Courthouse in Bozeman to review a draft ordinance that will regulate camping on public property and rights-of-way—residents may join in person or via Zoom to offer comments.  KBZK
