  • Downtown Bozeman is restoring historic buildings like the Cooper/Black, built in 1872, and the Baltimore, soon to be renamed The Range and hosting an upscale Italian restaurant—these projects will offer mixed-use spaces while a torn-down U.S. Bank building is set to be rebuilt as the Scully project.  KBZK

  • Chance Farm in Bozeman grows over 30 vegetables on nearly five acres for local markets+ restaurants and supplies 14 eateries, having held a public tour with Montana Farmers Union on Wednesday morning. The farm now plans to lease 10 more acres to expand production.  KBZK

CRIME NEWS

  • Deputies from the Park County Sheriff's Office responded on June 24 to a report of a vehicle on Chico Cemetery Road in Emigrant & learned that inside the car one local woman fatally shot another before taking her own life.  KBZK
  • Ten years after a brutal stabbing attack on May 15th, 2015, MSU-Northern student Taylor Woolman recalled her recovery from 26 stab wounds that left her with lasting injuries—she detailed her long journey toward strength and a forthcoming book sharing her experiences.  KBZK

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Montana is adjusting its BEAD funding plan after new federal guidance on June 6—officials are restructuring the application process to compare providers on price without favoring one technology over another. The state will open a 15-day application window around July 7, review proposals by August 14, and complete funding recommendations by September with a federal decision expected by December.  KBZK
  • Former U.S. Representative Pat Williams died at age 87, his family announced Wednesday evening in Helena. He served 18 years in Congress, defended Montana’s wild lands and working families, and memorial events will be held in the Capitol Rotunda and Missoula this July.  KBZK
