Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks said that rising water temperatures and lower flows in some rivers may lead to early fishing restrictions to protect trout, with a section of the Madison River upstream of Hebgen Lake closed to fishing from 2:00 p.m. to midnight starting Thursday — similar measures may soon cover rivers like the Gallatin, Ruby, Beaverhead, and Jefferson until water conditions improve.

At Lazy Sousa Ranch in Huson, Montana, Kate Sousa runs a family ranch that has raised horses and Scottish Highland cows since 1982 and began breeding cool cows in 2006.

The ranch now has about 25 horses and 50 cows sold nationwide for riding, dairy and pets—upholding long-standing family traditions.
