- ➤ A bear was spotted on Tuesday morning in north Bozeman, and wildlife officials urged residents to secure food sources—warning that bears associating with human food can lead to dangerous behavior. KBZK
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montana Food Bank Network is worried that proposed changes to SNAP may hurt about 80,000 people who rely on the program — the Big Beautiful Bill Act will require more work verification and force states to cover 75% of costs if passed. MFBN fears that higher state expenses may lead to cuts in SNAP benefits that food pantries alone cannot replace. KBZK
- ➤ The City of Bozeman is starting a street maintenance project on S 19th Ave from Main Street to Kagy Street this July and will reduce travel to a single lane starting July 7 plus the work is expected to end by early August. Bozeman Magazine
