  • During the 'No Kings' protest on Main Street—where a Facebook video showed an out-of-state truck driver with a hammer—Bozeman police arrested the man for threatening protesters.  KBZK
  • Bozeman police arrested Sheldon Grandchamp (36) on theft charges in connection with a rise in car break-ins, and police say his arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into these incidents.  MontanaRightNow

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Today, the Bozeman Public Library launched its Summer Learning Program to offer local youth free lunches from HRDC and the Library Friends and Foundation alongside daily educational events until August 17. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Gallatin County Commission is set to vote on the 'Safe Streets for All' plan that will cut crashes, injuries and deaths on county roads by half by 2034 and comes after 6,739 crashes between 2019 and 2023. The plan lists fixes like better road lighting, driver rules and road changes—if approved, the county will get federal safety grants—using strong data to guide its work.  MontanaRightNow

HEALTH NEWS

  • Today Bridgercare, a Montana nonprofit offering affordable reproductive care through 20 clinics, reported its $2 million Title X funding has been frozen for 2 months and joined six other grantees in sending a letter to HHS on June 10 asking for a clear funding timeline by June 20. The nonprofit said community support has helped keep operations going so far — without more clarity, tough choices may soon be needed.  KBZK
