  • The Downtown Bozeman Association, local galleries, and Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture will host the 2026 Downtown Bozeman Art Walk Series on the 2nd Friday of each month from June to Sept from 6 to 8 p.m.—over 35 businesses will feature local artists, hors d’oeuvres, and live music.  Bozeman Magazine

  • The Montana Public Service Commission is holding a four-day hearing that started yesterday in Helena to evaluate a merger between NorthWestern Energy and Black Hills Energy that would create Bright Horizon Energy Corporation to serve more customers plus potentially support long-term infrastructure projects.  KBZK

HEALTH NEWS

  • Montana wildlife officials say tick season is in full force as warmer weather and dry winters boost tick survival. They advise residents to check for ticks on themselves, pets, and livestock (especially after spending time in tall grass and brush) to stay safe outdoors.  KBZK

  • Mobile home park tenants in Bozeman are striking after an 11% rent increase — they say they received no sale details until the deal closed last week.  MontanaRightNow
  • Habitat for Humanity of Gallatin Valley is expanding its Belgrade ReStore and will build eight affordable homes at West Post this summer with a $300,000 grant from the MJ Murdock Foundation. The homes (built for local workers) cost about $450,000 and will sell for roughly $350,000 after community donations.  KBZK
