- ➤ May is Adopt a Horse Month and the ASPCA & local partners are raising awareness about rehoming over 90 rescued horses, following the January seizure of nearly 100 Morgan horses from a Madison County breeding operation; 62 of these horses have already been adopted while the others need further care. - ➤ On April 18th, 2025, the Gallatin County Attorney dropped nine felony cases - eight drug charges and one partner assault - linked to a bingo game played by Bozeman Police officers while on duty after an independent report found the game did not impact arrests under constitutional rules. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Gianforte signed into law House Bill 252—the STARS Act—to offer extra state funds to districts that boost starting teacher pay. The Montana Office of Public Instruction requires districts to certify by May 15 that they meet a minimum base salary, and 193 of 418 eligible districts have already applied. KBZK
