- ➤ One Valley Community Foundation’s eleventh Give Big Gallatin Valley event raised over $2.8 million for 259 nonprofits in Gallatin County from more than 5,500 donors during a campaign that lasted 24 hours on May 1 and 2; the fundraiser marked a major milestone as the initiative has raised over $20 million since 2015. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On May 3rd at 6:32 p.m., a hiker stranded on Baldy Mountain got stuck in deep snow between the Bridger Ridge and Sipes Canyon trailhead and suffered minor leg injuries from exposure. Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and GCSSAR arranged a helicopter rescue that flew the hiker to the Bozeman Fairgrounds, and a courtesy ride later brought the hiker to a hotel—rescuers said the quick response helped avoid further risk of hypothermia. - ➤ On May 6, 2025, multiple law enforcement agencies pursued a suspect after a road rage incident in Bozeman when a weapon was reportedly brandished—after a Bozeman police vehicle was struck and one officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, one male suspect is now in custody as the investigation continues. - ➤ Students at MSU's School of Art created artist books that show more than 400 cases of metal and wooden type using historic letterpress methods.
