- ➤ One Valley Community Foundation is hosting its 11th Give Big Gallatin Valley event from 6 p.m. May 1 to 6 p.m. May 2 to support 259 nonprofits with a goal of 7,000 donors. - ➤ Nonprofits in Gallatin County face a risk that $34 million in federal funding may be lost, which could cut services for up to 400 survivors as groups like Haven and Bridgercare rely on these funds. - ➤ Residents can drop off their unwanted electronics for free this Saturday at Logan Landfill’s annual e-waste collection event, which runs from 8 o'clock to 2:30. - ➤ Gallatin County's DUI Task Force held an awards ceremony Wednesday evening (April 23) to honor local law enforcement for catching and preventing drunk driving. The citizen group, funded by county commissioners, has shifted its focus from education to enforcement and honored three officers from eight local agencies (meeting with patrol captains to boost support). - ➤ A tax bill in the legislature — Senate Bill 542 — may not give homeowners the relief they need as it offers a one-time $400 rebate while home values keep rising.
