  • The Big Sky Wellness District hosted Ballots & Breakfast Tuesday morning to discuss creating a hospital & wellness district funded by local property taxes; voters in Madison and Gallatin counties will decide on the May 5 mail-in ballot.  KBZK

  • Bozeman business owner Shauna White Bear will premiere her documentary 'Are You Native?' at an international film festival in May. The film follows her journey reconnecting with her Native roots and features filmmaker Victoria Cheyenne after receiving a Big Sky Film Grant.  KBZK
  • Mercy and Joe from the Montana Actors Theater appeared on Montana This Morning to discuss their upcoming performance of 'The Seagull' at Rialto. Tickets are selling fast and an extra matinee is planned for Saturday.  KBZK

  • Bozeman is ranked as America’s No. 1 college town for the third straight year in RentCafe.com’s latest list as MSU enrollment grows to show the town’s strong university presence.  MontanaRightNow
  • The TRAILS consortium of academic libraries is celebrating a decade of improving Montana higher education since its 2016 start. It will host its annual Academic Library Symposium May 20-22 at Carroll College in Helena (registration is free until May 1).  Bozeman Magazine

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • After a dry winter and record low snowpack, city officials said Hyalite Reservoir is 60 percent full (normal for this time) as it remains a key water source. Forecasts call for snow today and rain next week to help boost levels, prompting advice to delay sprinkler use.  KBZK

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is launching a $200 million expansion that will add five new gates and upgrade the runway for larger aircraft; a public open house is held today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the old terminal building (662 Wings Way).  KBZK

SPORTS NEWS

  • Former Montana State runner Grant Grosvenor, now 33, broke the four-minute mile at the UW Mile City event on Jan. 31 in Seattle, marking a remarkable comeback after years away from track due to personal challenges. He trains with Australia’s Fast 8 Track group and stays connected to his Montana roots.  KBZK
