- ➤ On March 19, two snowmobilers collided with a tree near Big Sky and were assisted by Gallatin County Search and Rescue teams using LifeFlight and ground transport to hospitals—both had worn full face helmets and goggles that likely prevented fatal injuries. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ Jeffrey Zinne, 37, lost his life after falling from Red Lodge Mountain’s Triple Chair on March 10 due to erratic wind gusts and state Sen. Willis Curdy urged more oversight for the ski resorts — a call that could include reviving the Passenger Tramway Safety Board. KBZK

- ➤ Students from over 200 schools competed in the NASP State Archery Tournament to build confidence and learn teamwork in archery. The national qualifier featured bullseye and 3-D target rounds — hosted by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to support school archery programs. KBZK

- ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks said on March 20th that picking up baby wildlife can harm animals and spread diseases—residents risk exposing them to predators and zoonotic infections. The agency advised leaving wildlife undisturbed and keeping dogs controlled. Bozeman Magazine

- ➤ Gallatin County is considering zoning reform as it listens to residents about its 22 district system and the challenges of redundant procedures. A listening session will be held on March 25 from 6—8 p.m. at the County Courthouse Community Room to gather public feedback. MontanaRightNow
- ➤ The Montana House preliminarily approved House Bill 762 to study watercraft on 16 river stretches and assess congestion at an estimated cost of $2.7 million biennium—money will come from the state parks account and the study will run from May 15 to September 15 over two years. KBZK
