- ➤ Downtown Bozeman Urban Renewal District and the City are inviting everyone to share their views on parking via an online survey open until Monday, Mar. 30. Participants can enter a drawing for gift packages (including $100 Downtown Dollars and an 8-hour parking pass). Bozeman Magazine
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Strong winds forced Bridger Bowl Ski Area to close on Thursday, pushing skiers into the backcountry amid dangerous avalanche conditions. Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center officials said a weak snow layer increased risks (skiers are urged to carry safety gear) as conditions remained volatile. KBZK
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Montana State University worked with the state Department of Public Health & Human Services to roll out online EMS leadership trainings for volunteer-run services in six towns, using a five-year federal award that funds $250,000 a year. The effort aims to address growing staffing shortages in rural areas. Bozeman Magazine
- ➤ The Gallatin Behavioral Health Coalition secured nearly $11 million in funding in 2025 and launched seven new services including a 14-bed psychiatric unit at Bozeman Health and addiction treatment by Rimrock. It plans to expand crisis services and develop its Lighthouse Ranch Youth Behavioral Health Campus. KBZK
- ➤ Belgrade residents Shelly and Bryan Dowdle, who have lived in the area for 20 years, are urgently seeking a living donor kidney for 33-year-old Bryan after his transplant kidney failed + a living donor is hoped to help him avoid long waits for a deceased donor kidney. KBZK
