Philanthropist Gene Thayer, born in poverty near Belt, has raised over $75 million for Montana causes including Montana State University, animal shelters and youth centers.
His work supports community projects & inspires groups like the Great Falls Rescue Mission and Alliance for Youth.
The Skateboard Alliance of Montana is hosting weekly winter skate night events from Feb.
19 through March 19 at local venues, offering free skate sessions + beginner classes and best trick contests in a safe, inclusive setting. The nonprofit is also working with Parks and Rec on plans for a district skatepark.

Due to historic low snowfall, Crosscut reduced hours & Bridger Bowl recorded a shallow base on Feb.
